The Petronas Twin Towers are one of the tallest twin towers in the world. It is has 88 stories and is 170 meters above street level. The Batu Caves (also known as the Holy Temple of the Hindus) are located 13 kilometers north of Kuala Lampur. These comprise of a limestone hill with a number of caves and cave temples which vary in size. It is said that the limestone in the caves are 400 million years old and many Hindus come here and climb the 272 rock stairs to the main cave. Upon reaching here homage is paid to Lord Murugan at a festival known as Thaipusam. The statue of Lord Murugan, standing at 42 meters, is the tallest statue in the world.
